2006 Sevens
Season Announced
For the 2006 7's qualifying season the following point system will be used to determine the seeds into the championship tournament at the end of the season.
Teams will receive points based on their standing at the end of each qualifying tournament.
If a 3rd /4th game is not played by mutual consent of the losing semi-finalists both teams will receive 6 points.
1st place 12 points
2nd place 10 points
3rd place 8 points
4th place 6 points
5 – 8th place 4 points
All others 2 points
Current Standings
This year there are five qualifying tournaments and each team trying to qualify for the championship must play in three of the five qualifying tournaments. The dates and location of the qualifying tournaments follow:
5/27 Charleston , SC
6/3 Atlanta , GA (Renegades)
6/10 Greenville , SC
6/24 Orlando , FL
7/8 Knoxville , TN
Daytona will host the championship tournament on 7/22.
Roster Form:

Each team attempting to qualify for the championship tournament must let the qualifying tournament host know of their intention to compete in the qualifying division of the host's 7's tournament prior to the tournament. This will create an obligation of the team attempting to qualify to actually attend the tournament and to pay the entry fee associated with the qualifying division of the tournament. Teams that do not honor their obligation to compete after indicating to the host of their intentions to do may have additional sanctions levied by USA Rugby South.
Each team that qualifies for the championship tournament has an obigation to participate in the championship tournament. Any team that does not honor that obigation will be fined $500 by USA Rugby South through its local union and may have additional sanctions levied.
